Our Grandfather left Switzerland for Paris at age 16 to become an apprentice at his uncle Albert Brack's family Optical shop.  Growing up, when traveling to Paris with the family, we would spend countless hours waiting for our father in the shop and making up characters while trying on the latest eyewear fashions.

Grandfather worked at the shop until his last day at 83 years old, and in his long tenure, brought the next generation to the family business; uncles Pierre and Jean. In their turn, they served and advised the Parisians for over 50 years, fully taking over the shop in 1997.  Optique Brack was the place to go for friendly service, quality and style suitable to clients' face shape, personality and even career.

The shop was finally sold in 2019 leaving a legacy of 90 years in business.  Our generation however, has decided to become everything in life but opticians, but when packing up the shop, we couldn't part ways with so many treasures.  Brack is Back was born from our desire to give these unique pieces a second chance at our moveable pop up vintage eyewear shop.

Part of our inventory has been donated to various charities in Brazil assisting children in need of eyeglasses, and we are looking forward to helping you find your perfect statement piece.

A short adventure that when concluded, will leave us more connected than ever to our roots and family tradition behind us.
